Hunger Free Nac Sin Hambre
Hunger Free Nac Sin Hambre is a grassroots coalition of local leaders and community members, who have committed to coordinate their resources and ideas to end hunger in Nacogdoches County. The coalition works to coordinate among existing resources to maximize their effectiveness and accessibility, while identifying and addressing gaps with the goal of ensuring that all residents are food secure.

What is Hunger Free Nac?
A community coalition bringing together residents, nonprofits, schools, faith communities, businesses, and public agencies to improve food security in Nacogdoches County. We believe hunger is a community issue that requires community solutions. By working together, we can coordinate resources, identify gaps, and create lasting change.

What does joining mean?
As a member of the Coalition, you will participate in quarterly coalition meetings and work collaboratively to identify ways you and/or your agency can contribute to coalition efforts, support other organizations, and strengthen food security through cross-sector collaboration. You may also choose to participate in a Working Group, which may meet more frequently. Members commit to sharing HFNSH information and resources within their circle of influence.

Anyone who cares about reducing hunger in Nacogdoches County. You do not need to work in food assistance to participate. We welcome:

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Individuals are welcome to join the Coalition!
No. We understand that sometimes things come up. We do ask Coalition Members to make every effort to make the quarterly meetings. If you commit to join a working group or the Leadership Council, we ask that you uphold that commitment or let the team know if your availability changes.
Yes! Working Groups are a great way to make an impact using your own skills and interests! Some Working Groups may be short-term while others may be more ongoing.

The Leadership Council is like a Board of Directors and tends to the overall operations of the Coalition.
You may discontinue or change your participation at any time. We encourage you to come to a Coalition meeting to try it out if you think you may be interested!
